In partnership with Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Joachim Splichal and Patina Restaurant Group built Ray’s & Stark Bar – named after Ray Stark (the legendary film producer). I worked directly with the in-house art team at LACMA to pull internal brand styles and midcentury modern references. Using textile samples from their archive and appropriate classic furniture, we created an atmosphere promoting timeless elegance that would not detract from the cuisine. I developed the identity system supporting the PRG brand but also aligned with LACMA aesthetics, applying the same textiles I chose from the archive and interiors, to the menus and promotional materials. I also created a bar menu book for Stark Bar, introducing their extensive list of liquors and accompanying unique cocktails with quotes to engage the diner.
